I Jahman Levi is one of the greatest names from the roots reggae era in the seventies. This extraordinary jamaican artist remained in full activity until ltoday with his deep spiritual and human feelings. His early album on Island records, Haile I Hymn in 1978 and Are We A Warrior in 79, are absolute classics in the reggae history. In 80s and 90s Ijahman produced many records with his own Tree Roots label, having a top hit single in 1985 with "I Do", a lovers duet with his wife Madgie.
